Lehrplan

Die Vorlesung führt in die zentralen Aspekte der Informationsvisualisierung ein. Der Schwerpunkt liegt dabei auf der menschlichen visuellen Wahrnehmung, Visualisierung von multivariaten Daten und Interaktionskonzepte für Visualisierungssysteme. Basierend auf diesen Konzepten, werden Strategien vorgestellt, mit denen Graphen, Netzwerke, Bäume, textbasierte Daten und zeitbasierte Daten visualisieren. Darüber hinaus werden Techniken zur effizienten Nutzung von begrenztem Darstellungsraum vorgestellt.

Zielgruppe

• Studenten der Medieninformatik (Master) und Informatik mit Vorkenntnissen im Bereich der Medieninformatik. Diese Vorlesung ist verpflichtend für den Masterstudiengang Mensch-Computer Interaktion.
