Syllabus

The practical provides an introduction to network and interaction programming for fully immersive Virtual Reality (VR) Head-Mounted Displays (HMDs) using Unity3D. During the semester, the theoretical foundations of VR and basics of programming for VR applications will be learned in by-weekly lectures. The practical will be accompanied by a group project spanning the semester and an additional block-week in the lecture-free period, during which the projects will be finalized and presented.
VR hardware will be provided. A laptop is required to participate in the tasks throughout the semester.
Basic knowledge of C# or prior experience with Unity3D is necessary.

  • Dates: Mondays, 4-6 pm c.t. (biweekly) + Hackathon at the end of the semester

Grading

The grade is based on a presentation and a written paper.

  • The presentation must last 10-20 minutes.
  • The paper must contain 20,000 - 30,000 characters using the LaTex template
