Multimedia-Programmierung Summer Semester 2006

Practical assignment
The practical assignment was the creation of a jump & run game in groups of five to six students with Macromedia Flash MX 2004. The game had to comprise the following elements:
- Player character with several animations
- Large level that needs to scroll
- Solid objects the player can jump on
- Bonus objects that increase the score
- Objects that enhance the players abilities
- Objects that cause damage to the player
- Consistent graphical theme
- Integration of sound
- Singleplayer mode
- Multiplayer mode for 2 to 4 players
- Highscore
- Chat
- Additional menus like help, options and about
Before the groups started programming they modeled and structured their games with MML, a modeling language for interactive multimedia applications.
