Research Interests

My research interests focus on novel authentication mechanisms in smart environments, with regard to security, but more importantly also usability aspects. "Smart" devices are increasingly present in users' homes and can increasingly access sensitive data. Since such devices do oftentimes not offer adequate input modalities for, e.g., secure passwords, I aim at designing novel, scalable authentication mechanisms to employ in users' everyday life in their homes.

Besides that, I am strongly interested in UX Design, Machine Learning and its application for HCI, mobile interaction, sketching and prototyping, photography and photoshopping.
